As a Third Party Vendor Management Intern, you'll gain valuable exposure to vendor governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance within a leading financial institution. How You Succeed To excel in this role, you'll need to be curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. You'll work closely with stakeholders across Technology, Operations, Procurement, Risk, Compliance, and Information Security to support vendor governance activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your ability to analyse information, identify trends, communicate effectively, and manage multiple priorities will help strengthen the bank's third-party risk management framework. What You Do Your responsibilities will include: Vendor Governance Support: assist in maintaining vendor governance records, inventories, documentation, and governance artefacts to support effective oversight across the vendor lifecycle Risk & Due Diligence Reviews: support the review and tracking of vendor due diligence assessments, risk evaluations, compliance requirements, and remediation actions Vendor Monitoring: assist in monitoring vendor performance, service delivery obligations, risk indicators, and governance requirements to support ongoing oversight activities Risk Reporting & Analytics: support the preparation of management reports, dashboards, and governance materials that provide insights into vendor performance, risks, incidents, and compliance metrics Data Analysis: analyse vendor-related data to identify trends, risk themes, and opportunities to improve governance and decision-making Governance Meetings: participate in vendor governance discussions, document key decisions and action items, and support follow-up activities Policy & Documentation Management: assist in maintaining policies, procedures, standards, and documentation related to third-party risk management and governance Process Improvement & Automation: support initiatives to streamline governance processes through workflow enhancements, automation, and data quality improvements using digital tools Regulatory & Industry Research: conduct research on emerging risks, regulatory developments, and industry best practices relating to vendor management and third-party risk governance Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on risk management, governance, and strategic initiatives as assigned Who You Work With Group Operations and Technology enables OCBC's business growth through secure, resilient, and innovative technology and operational capabilities. Within the Risk & Prevention team, you'll work alongside professionals responsible for overseeing Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and vendor governance across the organisation. You'll collaborate with stakeholders from Technology, Operations, Procurement, Compliance, Risk Management, and Information Security, gaining valuable exposure to how effective vendor management supports operational resilience and regulatory compliance. Who You Are Open to learning and feedback Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities Good written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working with data and identifying trends Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate, or other data visualisation tools would be advantageous Basic understanding of governance, risk management, cybersecurity, procurement, or operational risk concepts would be beneficial Interest in financial services, technology governance, and third-party risk management High level of professionalism and integrity when handling sensitive information Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Polytechnic Diploma in Business Management, Banking & Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline Learning Objectives This Internship Will Provide You With An understanding of the end-to-end Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework and vendor lifecycle management process Exposure to governance requirements supporting vendor onboarding, performance monitoring, contract renewal, and vendor exit management Insights into regulatory expectations and industry best practices relating to technology vendors and outsourced service providers Practical experience supporting vendor due diligence reviews, risk assessments, remediation tracking, and governance reporting Opportunities to develop data analytics, dashboarding, and management reporting capabilities to support risk oversight Exposure to key risk domains including operational, cyber, compliance, financial, and concentration risks Experience identifying opportunities to improve governance processes through automation and workflow optimisation Opportunities to strengthen stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and business writing skills A deeper understanding of governance, risk management, and operational resilience within a regulated financial services environment Practical experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to support effective vendor governance and risk management practices across the bank What We Offer Competitive base salary.
