Duration: 5 months (August - December) Role Description The Legal Operations & Compliance Intern is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore. The intern will support the legal team with day-to-day tasks such as reviewing and preparing legal documents, maintaining contract and policy repositories, and assisting with compliance tracking and reporting. Responsibilities include conducting legal and regulatory research relevant to defense, technology, data protection, and export control, and summarizing findings in clear, actionable formats. The intern will help coordinate internal reviews of policies and procedures, support due diligence activities, and assist in preparing documentation for government, customer, and partner engagements. This role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams (such as operations, security, and product) to gather information, clarify requirements, and help ensure that business processes align with applicable laws, regulations, and internal compliance standards. Qualifications Foundational knowledge of law and legal issues, preferably with interest or coursework in technology, or data protection. Ability to support legal consulting activities, including issue spotting, risk assessment, and providing structured input to senior legal professionals. Skills in legal document preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and organizing contracts, NDAs, policies, and memoranda. Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal and regulatory concepts into clear written and verbal summaries. Current enrollment in, or recent graduation from, a law program or related discipline. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and documentation practices, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Comfort working with confidential information and a demonstrated commitment to integrity, discretion, and compliance. Proficiency with common office and collaboration tools (e.g., document management, spreadsheets, and presentation software); familiarity with compliance or contract management systems is a plus.
