About the role:
Our internships offer a fantastic opportunity to build your knowledge, skills and professional network. You’ll get a real insight into our business, as well as valuable experience in a supportive environment working alongside some of the most high-profile people in our sector. Carbon Trust internships are offered on a paid basis and are for a 6 month period.
In Asia we have a small, dedicated team ready to take their impact to the next stage, working across the Energy and Manufacturing sectors, along with the sustainable finance sector to support the energy transition.
This Internship is intended to provide structured learning and development experience, while giving the Intern the opportunity to contribute to defined marketing, research and business development activities that support the Asia team. The intern will support the local team with pipeline development for new business and will be working alongside the UK marketing team to support the local retention and acquisition marketing plan for Asia.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Working with the Head of Asia, to support with analytical tasks to input into the new business strategy for Asia, such as market analysis, competitor analysis, pipeline and proposition development
Communicating findings orally and in writing (e.g. presenting back to internal teams, producing PowerPoint slides)
Supporting local marketing tasks for the Asia market with a focus on Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia, collaborating with the UK led global marketing team
Supporting and co-ordinating social media activity for the Asia market using relevant social media platforms e.g. LinkedIn
Working with the team to plan and support both in person and webinar events to generate new business and retain existing clients
Maintaining prospect and account mailing lists in Hubspot
Supporting the development of proposals and pitch decks as and when required
Providing support with the planning, co-ordination and delivery of In-person events
Key skills we are looking for:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Fluent spoken and written English (other languages are an advantage)
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships and communicate ideas clearly
Ability to work effectively with colleagues in a team environment, resilient and open to receiving feedback
Ability to think and work independently, taking the initiative and ‘ownership’ of tasks
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects across a given time period
Qualifications and experience:
Essential
Business, Communications, Media or Environmental related degree (or equivalent)
Desirable but not essential
Relevant prior work experience
Experience of marketing and or sales tools and techniques to retain and develop new business
Experience of using Marketing tools to nurture prospects through the full sales cycle
Knowledge of climate transition and environmental sustainability
Ability to apply AI /digital tools to maximise efficiency and manage repeated tasks / analysis
