    About this internship

About the job We're looking for a Marketing Intern to help build Griffin Labs' public presence. We train frontier AI models and build the robotic systems that put them to work in hotels, airports and commercial buildings across Southeast Asia. Robots run in live buildings a few metres from where you will sit, and we have shown almost none of it to anyone outside the company. Your job is to change that: filming in the lab and on site, cutting short-form video, drafting posts, and taking one of our channels as your own to grow. You will bring your own ideas for what to publish and own how they perform, rather than waiting for a shot list. The role runs 3 to 6 months, on-site in Singapore, and is open to students on a credit-bearing internship and to anyone else who can show us a portfolio. What you'll do Take one of our channels as your own: propose the plan, publish to it consistently, and answer for the numbers it produces Bring ideas. You will sit closer to the robots than anyone else writing about them, so we would rather hear what you think is worth publishing than hand you a shot list Film and photograph robots in the lab and at live deployment sites, and build up a usable library of footage rather than a folder of clips nobody can find Edit short-form video for LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and other channels — from raw capture to published cut Draft social posts, captions, and short written pieces in Griffin's voice, and take editorial feedback without taking it personally Watch what performs, form a view about why, and come back with proposals rather than a report Maintain the content library: tag, catalogue, and version assets so anyone can find the right footage in a minute Help produce longer pieces — technical explainers, demo walkthroughs, team and project stories — under editorial direction from whoever is leading marketing Support events and site visits: capture, prep materials, and post-event content Help with recruiting content — team stories, day-in-the-lab pieces, and job post support. Engineers and researchers are our primary audience, so this work matters What we're looking for A portfolio. Video edits, social accounts you have grown, writing, photography, or design — something you made that we can look at. This matters more to us than your degree Evidence you have grown an audience yourself: a social account, channel, newsletter, or community, however small. We care that the number moved because of choices you made, not that you had access to a big account Working ability with at least one editing tool (Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, CapCut, or equivalent) and a willingness to learn whatever else the work needs Clear written English with a sense for tone. You can write a caption that sounds like a lab rather than a brochure Comfort holding a camera and directing a shot — including asking a busy engineer to run a demo again because the first take was unusable An opinion about what makes people stop scrolling, and the willingness to argue for it Organisation. Files named properly, assets where they should be, deadlines met without chasing Genuine interest in robotics and AI. You do not need a technical background, but you should want to understand what the machine is doing before you film it Nice to have Coursework or self-study in marketing, communications, design, film, or media production Photography or motion-graphics skills Familiarity with Figma, Canva, or the Adobe suite Experience with analytics on any platform — enough to read what a chart is telling you Any exposure to robotics, engineering, or deep tech, including hobby projects Curiosity about how a pre-seed company builds an audience from zero Who you are You notice things worth filming that other people walk past You ask what something does before you write about it You treat a channel you have been given as yours to grow, not as a queue to clear You are comfortable in a small team where nobody has time to manage you closely You want to leave with published work you can point at, not a certificate What we are looking to build A steady stream of published work showing what our robots actually do, made by someone who was in the room when it happened. You will own a channel, grow it, and be able to show what it did while you had it. You should finish this internship with a real portfolio, a working understanding of how a frontier robotics company talks about itself, and an audience that exists because of choices you made.
