    About this internship

UVJC is a Singapore‑based deep‑tech equipment company developing next‑generation dry thin‑film printing and deposition technologies. We design and build advanced tools that bridge the gap between R&D and scalable manufacturing, enabling precision, solvent‑free fabrication across semiconductors, electronics, and emerging applications. Shape the future with us. Job Purpose The Mechanical Engineering Intern will support the design and development of high-precision mechanical components and assemblies for advanced thin-film deposition and vapor jet printing systems. Working under guidance, the intern will contribute to prototyping, testing, and integration efforts, gaining hands-on experience across the product lifecycle while helping ensure mechanical reliability and innovation in next-generation technologies. Key Responsibilities Assist in Design & Modeling Create or modify 3D CAD models and 2D drawings Cad tool using tools like SolidWorks Support design reviews and help implement design changes. Prototype Development Help build and test prototypes. Assist in selection, RFQ & purchase of materials and components. Testing and Analysis Conduct mechanical tests (e.g., leak test, thermal analysis, calibration & Functional checks) Collect and analyze data to validate designs. Documentation Prepare engineering documentation such as BOMs, test reports, and assembly instructions. Maintain revision control and update drawings/specs. Research and Development Perform literature reviews or benchmarking studies. Support feasibility studies and concept development. Process Improvement Help identify inefficiencies in design or operational processes. Suggest and implement improvements under supervision. Team Collaboration Attend team meetings and contribute to project discussions. Communicate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, quality). Skills CAD Proficient using CAD tools like Solidworks Engineering analysis like Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and thermal management Technical communication – how to translate the information by email or perform technical presentation The basic project management fundamentals – planning & keeping timeline Exposed to industry standard & practices Working in R&D environments with dynamic engineering operations Knowledgeable in equipment design techniques and tools Experience with ultra-high vacuum system design and operation Knowledge in design & operation for clean room environment Education Currently pursuing a Degree in Mechanical Engineering
