Role Description
This part-time, remote Media Relations Intern role supports Wondr’s communications and event initiatives. The intern will help draft and edit press releases, media pitches, and briefing documents, as well as maintain media lists and contact databases. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring media coverage, researching relevant outlets and journalists, and supporting the coordination of media outreach around key events and announcements. The intern will assist in tracking campaign performance, preparing reports, and supporting strategic communications planning. Collaboration with marketing and event teams will be expected to ensure consistent, on-brand messaging across channels.
Qualifications
Strong media relations and public relations skills, including outreach to journalists and understanding of PR best practices.
Ability to draft and refine press releases, media pitches, and other written communications.
Excellent communication and strategic communications skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
Interest in B2B events, marketing, and brand storytelling; prior internship or project experience in communications or PR is a plus.
Comfort using digital tools such as email marketing platforms, media databases, and collaboration software (e.g., Slack, Google Workspace, or similar).
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
