    About this internship

About Tiger Brokers Tiger Brokers (NASDAQ: TIGR) is a global fintech company providing online brokerage and wealth-management services across the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. Our IT team keeps a multi-region corporate network running securely for thousands of employees, and is now moving our access model from traditional VPN toward Zero Trust. About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Network Engineer Intern to join our IT team. You will work alongside senior network engineers on three fronts: keeping the office network reliable, running the firewall change-approval process, and helping integrate our Zero Trust access platform. This is a real-operations role — you will touch production equipment, own tickets end to end, and see how a regulated financial company manages network risk. What You Will Do Support day-to-day operations of the corporate network: switches, wireless, internet edge, site-to-site links and remote-access VPN — monitoring, configuration changes and troubleshooting. Contribute to our Zero Trust rollout: help configure identity, device and application aware access policies, migrate user groups from legacy VPN to the Zero Trust gateway, run pilots and collect user feedback. Maintain network documentation: topology diagrams, IP address management, asset inventory, runbooks and SOPs. Process firewall policy requests: review business justifications, validate source/destination/port scope against least-privilege and segmentation standards, implement approved rules, and keep audit-ready change records. Participate in alert triage and first-level analysis of network / security incidents, and follow up on remediation items. Build small automation scripts (Python / Ansible) for repetitive tasks such as config backup, rule clean-up and compliance checks. What We Are Looking For Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in Computer Science or a related field; able to commit 3+ months, 4–5 days per week in Singapore office. Solid fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLAN/trunking, routing (static, OSPF, BGP basics), NAT, DNS, DHCP; comfortable reading a network diagram. Understanding of how firewalls work — zones, policies, NAT, application / URL filtering — on any major platform (Fortinet, Juniper, etc.). Awareness of Zero Trust concepts (ZTNA, SASE, SSO/MFA, device posture) and genuine interest in identity-centric security. Process-minded and communicative; able to document what you did and why. Chinese and English working proficiency (our team collaborates with China, US and other regional offices). Nice to Have CCNA / Fortinet NSE / PCNSA or similar certifications (in progress is fine). Exposure to Zero Trust / IAM products such as Zscaler, Cisco Duo, Microsoft Entra. Campus-network, lab-admin or enterprise IT internship experience; What You Will Gain - Hands-on experience in a multi-region fintech network. - End-to-end ownership of a firewall change process and a front-row seat on a Zero Trust migration — not just shadowing. - Internship certificate and reference letter; Location : Singapore, Raffle Place. Internship: 3–6 months · 4–5 days/week · Department : Corporate IT
