About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Analyst Intern to join the Operations team at Climate Impact X (CIX). This role offers hands-on exposure to client onboarding, with a focus on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) activities. The successful candidate will support the team in addressing AML/KYC refresh backlogs, conducting due diligence reviews, and ensuring client records remain accurate, complete, and compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Support the review and refresh of AML/KYC records for existing clients and counterparties.
Conduct due diligence checks and validate client information against internal and external data sources.
Review client documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to compliance requirements.
Assist with data collection, cleansing, and maintenance of client records and operational databases.
Follow up with internal stakeholders and external clients for outstanding documentation and information.
Support case preparation and escalation of exceptions identified during the review process.
Monitor workflow progress and maintain accurate records of AML/KYC refresh activities.
Requirements
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with large volumes of information and documentation.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and gaps in data.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Interest in financial services, compliance, risk management, or operations is an advantage.
Prior knowledge of AML/KYC processes is beneficial but not required.
Availability for a full-time six-month internship is beneficial but not required.
