    About this internship

About EJ Explorer Junior is a Singapore-based STEAM education company on a mission to nurture lifelong explorers. We design hands-on programmes where children learn by building, experimenting, and solving real-world problems through science, technology, sustainability, and creative thinking. We are a small, mission-driven team that cares deeply about the work we do. Our team members enjoy figuring things out, improving systems, and creating meaningful learning experiences for children. We believe great programmes happen when thoughtful people work together behind the scenes — planning carefully, solving problems, and constantly refining how things run. Explorer Junior is a good fit for people who are curious, proactive, and enjoy making things work better. If you like organising messy systems, spotting inefficiencies, and contributing to work that has real impact on children and communities, you will likely feel at home here. About the Role This isn’t a "sit in the corner" internship. As an Operations Intern, you will be at the heart of our daily functions. You will learn how an impact-driven education set up scales its impact, manages complex logistics, and maintains a high standard of student and parent experience. You will work closely with the core team to support the systems that power Explorer Junior’s programmes from trainer scheduling to materials logistics to internal workflows. What you will do: Programme Operations: Support the end-to-end execution of our STEAM programs. This includes overseeing classroom readiness, managing high-value inventory (coding kits, science materials), and ensuring a seamless experience for our young explorers. Trainer Scheduling & Coordination: Act as a bridge between our curriculum and our people. You will assist in managing trainer deployments, ensuring all sessions are properly staffed and that our educators have the context they need to succeed. Event Coordination: Play a pivotal role in the planning and logistics of holiday camps, birthday parties, and school outreach programs across Singapore. Process Improvement Project: We believe in empowering our interns to leave a lasting mark. You will take ownership of one strategic project aimed at scaling our operations, such as: Inventory Digitization: Developing and implementing a more efficient digital tracking system for our extensive STEAM kits and materials. Resource Scheduling: Enhancing our internal scheduling tools to better manage human resources across multiple satellite locations. Feedback Loops: Designing and launching a streamlined system for collecting and analyzing post-workshop feedback from parents and schools Internship Details Location: Singapore Internship Duration: 3–6 months preferred Work Arrangement: Hybrid / On-site depending on programmes Who We Are Looking For Problem Solver: You enjoy brainstorming and testing solutions.
