Policy Research Intern

Role Description As a full-time Policy Research Intern based on-site in Singapore, you will support research initiatives related to public policy, technology governance, and evidence-based decision-making. Day-to-day tasks include conducting literature reviews, summarizing academic papers and policy reports, and organizing findings within the Atlas Workspace platform. You will help develop research briefs, memos, and visual summaries that make complex policy topics accessible to diverse stakeholders. The role involves collaborating with team members to identify key trends in policy domains, assist in data collection and basic analysis, and contribute to internal knowledge bases and documentation. You may also support stakeholder meetings, prepare presentation materials, and provide general research and administrative support as needed. Qualifications Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to review, interpret, and synthesize academic papers and policy documents. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with attention to clarity, structure, and audience-appropriate tone. Ability to organize information systematically, work with digital tools for knowledge management, and present findings in a clear, visual manner. Demonstrated interest in public policy, technology, social sciences, or related fields; prior coursework or projects in these areas are beneficial. Proficiency in basic data analysis (quantitative or qualitative) and familiarity with spreadsheets or simple statistical tools is an advantage. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Law, Data Science, or a related discipline. Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site environment in Singapore, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Curiosity about research workflows, information design, and tools that improve how people interact with complex knowledge.
