About this internship
Salt Talent Search is looking for a Communications Manager for a 12 months extendable contract role, this is for Southeast Asia to support the Communications team. You will work alongside the policy team and help to educate the public about the Community, highlight the positive social and economic impact of our platform, and help highlight in press how we work together with regulators and tourism organisations on common-sense rules for home sharers. You will also manage efforts to promote our consumer campaigns, corporate reputation, supporting the release of earnings to local media, executive profiling and issues management.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the cross functional team to develop robust and effective consumer, corporate and policy communications strategies that drive favorability and positive awareness
Be responsible for executing complex campaigns to drive proactive positive results and be adept at problem solving
Draft written materials - story pitches, press releases, messaging guidelines, Q&As, briefs, presentations, speeches etc.
Manage agency partners in all markets
Prepare briefings for media interviews and public speaking engagements
Develop influencer engagement strategies
Understand the media market and develop relationships with key reporters
Handle a busy press office
Work closely and seamlessly with the consumer comms manager and local policy team as well as the international policy and communications teams
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
6+ years consumer, corporate and / or policy comms experience, either working in a communications agency or in-house
Excellent writing and strong verbal communications and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Thai or Bahasa, though not necessary, is an advantage given the regional scope
Experience in media relations with an established media network
Ability to initiate, manage and deliver proactive press projects including research/data-led stories, campaigns, press events, press trips
Experience with complex regulatory issues in a political environment
Experience working on projects in a fast-paced environment
Experience across SEA is preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Maintaining enthusiasm and calm demeanor in stressful situations
