    About this internship

What The Role Is The Digital Government for Business (DGB) Division at the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry is reimagining how Government serves businesses digitally. Our multidisciplinary team works to simplify compliance, improve coordination, and build services that businesses trust and value. We're seeking bold thinkers and passionate collaborators to help transform public service for businesses - come shape the future with us. BizSG is our whole-of-government effort to give businesses a single, intuitive way to find, apply for and manage Government services. We are looking for a Product Manager to shape its direction and work with agencies, designers and engineers to ship things businesses use. Join our METI-DGB Team for hands-on work that will enable the Singapore Government to partner businesses at the “speed of innovation”, improve Government-to-Business experience, and reduce the cost-to-serve. What You Will Be Working On Own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for BizSG’s problem statement, balancing business needs, agency priorities and technical constraints. Discover and define problems worth solving through user research, data analysis and stakeholder engagement, and translate them into clear problem statements, requirements and success metrics. Work day to day with Software Engineers and Service/User Experience Designers to deliver features in an Agile environment, including backlog prioritisation, sprint planning and release decisions. Drive cross-agency engagements with policy owners and operational teams to align on requirements, integrations and rollout, and to resolve competing priorities. Define and track product outcomes (e.g. adoption, completion rates, time and effort saved for businesses and agencies), and use the data to iterate. Communicate product progress, trade-offs and risks clearly to senior management and agency partners. What We Are Looking For Product thinkers who are comfortable with ambiguity and can move from a vague problem to a clear, prioritised plan. Strong communicators who can write, speak and present clearly and credibly to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders. Collaborative leaders who can influence without authority across agencies with different mandates and ways of working. Independent thinkers with initiative, who are self-directed but not siloed. Data-informed decision-makers who use research, analytics and experimentation to guide choices. Must have’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Design or a related discipline. Bonus Experience (Preferred) Experience in product management, business analysis, or digital product delivery, with a track record of shipping products. Experience working in Agile teams alongside engineers and designers. Experience in the public sector, regulatory or licensing environments, or B2B/B2G platforms. Experience with cross-agency or multi-stakeholder programmes. Familiarity with product analytics, A/B testing and user research methods. Experience with APIs, integrations or platform products. Traineeship duration: 6 months to 1 year.
