About this internship
Learn PR from the inside — with responsibly engineered AI as part of your toolkit
Marie Wee LLP is a Singapore lifestyle PR firm built during the 2020 pandemic on one idea: campaigns should earn editorial interest, not just chase it. Founder Marie Wee is armed with 16 years' experience and network in journalism, and 7 years in PR — she runs the firm on the belief that good PR should also give back to the community.
What you'll actually do
Draft press releases, pitches, and client communications in an editorial voice
Build and manage media lists; track media & social coverage
Compile PR reports that show clients real impact, not vanity metrics
Help execute PR strategies end-to-end — from pitch to press day
Get hands-on with editorial and social content creation
Use AI tools to speed up research, drafting, and media monitoring — and learn where AI helps and where a trained editorial eye still prevails
Why this internship is different
Work directly with a journalist-turned-founder — learn how editors think, not just how PR firms pitch
Real client exposure across arts, entertainment, hospitality, education, and F&B — be part of every Client's team during event day to experience their workflow as well
Practical AI fluency: journalistic prompt-writing, research workflows, and content tools you'll use in any comms job after this
Fast-paced, flat structure — your ideas get heard, honed, and practised, not filtered through five layers of approval
Who thrives here
A fast learner who's genuinely curious about media and storytelling
Hardworking, sharp, and brings a positive attitude under pressure — this isn't a coast-through internship
Comfortable multitasking and switching between clients and deadlines
Excited to learn both the craft of PR and the AI tools reshaping the industry
While the role is based in Singapore, it offers flexibility for remote work. An excellent command of English in writing is required, while knowledge in Mandarin reading and writing is also necessary.
Knowledge of Cantonese will be useful, as the team is exposed to regional clients too.
