    About this internship

About Our Group The Edge Distribution team drives regional go-to-market programs with distributors and channel partners — OEM, ODM, MSP, SI and VAR — and captains the Commercial segments that make up the large majority of Seagate’s Distribution business. We manage portfolio selling across Enterprise, VIA and Commercial NAS, and collaborate closely with Global Marketing, Sales Operations and regional teams to build Seagate brand Relevance, Preference and Loyalty in target verticals. Our FY27 mission is to show up early where architecture and vertical decisions are made, shape requirements so Seagate is designed in as the preferred choice, and earn the repeat orders that pull demand through the channel. This internship sits at the heart of that “Go Commercial” demand engine. About The Role - You Will As a Regional Marketing Intern, you will support the research, development, and execution of application and vertical marketing initiatives that position Seagate as a strategic AI storage infrastructure partner across the channel ecosystem. Research the key applications that drive the most data growth and the longest retention — for example AI-native applications, AI video analytics, Physical AI, genomics & precision medicine, medical imaging & pathology, media/streaming/gaming, industrial IoT & digital twins, scientific computing & HPC, financial & market data, and cyber-resilience & archive. Analyze how these applications align with priority industry verticals and buying centers (e.g., Cloud & AI Infrastructure, Government/Smart City, Automotive & Manufacturing, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Media/Entertainment & Gaming, and Financial Services), identifying where Seagate should focus its go-to-market. Develop marketing content and application playbooks that include: market size (TAM/CAGR), storage thesis, data economics, reference architecture & workflows, vertical mapping & priorities, GTM motion, partner ecosystem, target accounts by region, and success metrics. Build the repeatable enablement asset kit for each application and vertical — category POV one-pagers, “data economics” infographics, reference-architecture diagrams, vertical briefs, use-case / solution cards, and customer stories — sequenced by the brand ladder (Relevance → Preference → Loyalty). Support regional initiatives focused on identifying and developing new vertical market opportunities. Support the FY27 goal of originating new vertical opportunities by contributing to new vertical briefs and application use cases / customer stories per region. Conduct market and competitive research to ground each application thesis, using credible third-party sizing and trends, and cite sources clearly. Collaborate with regional marketing, sales and partner teams to gather requirements, validate content, test drafts, and capture feedback. Prepare executive-ready presentations that summarize research findings, business opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
