Role Description The Research Assistant Intern will support research, product, and content initiatives that enhance how users interact with academic literature. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting literature reviews, organizing and summarizing research papers, and assisting with data collection and basic analysis to improve platform features. The intern will help design and test workflows for synthesizing research across libraries, maintain accurate documentation of findings, and collaborate with team members to translate research insights into clear, user-friendly outputs. The role also involves preparing brief reports or visual summaries, contributing to internal knowledge bases, and participating in regular meetings to discuss research progress and priorities. Qualifications Strong Research and Analytical Skills to review literature, identify patterns, and synthesize complex information. Proficiency in Data Analysis and basic quantitative methods to interpret findings and support evidence-based decisions. Effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal abilities for summarizing research and collaborating with the team. Foundational Laboratory Skills or familiarity with research workflows and methodologies, where relevant to project needs. Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, cognitive science, computer science, information science, or other research-focused disciplines). Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Comfort working with digital tools for document management, reference organization, and data handling. Curiosity about research processes, open science practices, and improving how people access and understand academic work.
