    About the Team: Sea group is seeking research interns to join Sea AI Lab (SAIL). SAIL focuses on fundamental research and application research on Artificial Intelligence (AI), which include deep learning, reinforcement learning, computer vision, natural language processing, etc. Our research interns have an opportunity to make core algorithmic advances and apply their ideas at the core research projects at SAIL. This internship has a minimum 6-month duration. The ideal candidate should have an enthusiasm in advancing the understanding of intelligence and a passion for ambitious breakthroughs in AI. To learn more about our research and our lab, please visit https://sail.sea.com/ Job Description: We are seeking Research Interns to join our team and work on fundamental research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language models, and scientific computing. Our research focuses on developing next-generation AI methods and applying them to challenging problems in science. Research topics include, but are not limited to: Fundamental research on next-generation large language models and machine learning; Agentic LLMs and their applications to scientific research; Data-driven and AI-based methods for scientific discovery; Large-scale algorithms and software systems for quantum chemistry; High-performance computing and CUDA/Triton kernel development. Research interns will have the opportunity to work on frontier research problems and are expected to contribute to high-quality publications at leading conferences and journals. Requirements: Currently pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Statistics, Computational Physics, Computational Chemistry, or another related quantitative field; Solid understanding of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and large language model fundamentals; Strong programming skills in Python and/or other programming languages; Hands-on experience with at least one differentiable computing framework, such as PyTorch or JAX; Strong problem-solving and research skills, with the ability to effectively leverage state-of-the-art coding and AI agents for complex research and engineering tasks; Ability to commit to an internship of at least six months, either full-time or part-time. The following qualifications are preferred: Experience with GPU programming or kernel development using CUDA, Triton, or related tools; Knowledge of first-principles computational methods, electronic structure theory, or computational chemistry; Experience with large-scale machine learning or scientific computing systems; First-author or co-authored publications at leading conferences or journals in relevant fields, such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, the Physical Review series, Nature portfolio journals, JCTC, or JCP.
