Senior Manager - Data Engineering solutions (Engineering)

Position Overview We are hiring a Senior Manager, who will be using the big data in the public healthcare, to analyse, design and develop data analytics solutions that provide strategic insights to improve decision-making in Singapore healthcare system. Role & Responsibilities Project Leadership Oversee a diverse portfolio of data engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Work closely with project managers and business analysts to strategically drive project demands and ensure alignment with business goals. Champion of Best Practices Establish and enforce standards for data engineering practices, including development, testing, and implementation. Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance efficiency and quality Communication Skills The ability to present complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences. Responsible for delivering engaging presentations that resonate with technical architects, directors, business users, and data owners alike. Ability to translate intricate data insights into understandable language will be crucial in fostering collaboration and driving informed decision-making across the organization Requirements Bachelor’s degree in computer science / engineering, Information Technology / System or a related field. Minimum 12 years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer, with a strong track record of managing projects and leading teams. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences. Proficiency in data warehousing, data analytics, lakehouse architecture, and AWS technologies. Proficiency and relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: Informatica IDMC and Databricks experience Data visualisation tools such as Tableau, OBIEE Working knowledge on BI standard languages such as R, Python, SQL, Apache Spark AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate or higher Databricks and IDMC certification will be advantageous Experience in healthcare industry, with broad understanding of healthcare business processes like patient administration, patient medical and non-medical services are a plus.
