Human by nature. Smart Manufacturing & Digital Quality Intern - Your future position? At Givaudan, we create food experiences that delight consumers around the world. As part of our Operations Excellence journey, we are exploring how digital technologies, data analytics, and innovative quality approaches can help us build more robust, efficient, and future-ready manufacturing operations. We are looking for a curious and motivated university intern to join our team and support an exciting project at the intersection of Quality by Design (QbD), Smart Manufacturing, and emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in flavour manufacturing. Location: 1 Woodlands Avenue 8 Reporting to: Head of Operations Excellence APAC Key Responsibilities Process Understanding & Quality by Design Support the mapping and documentation of selected flavour manufacturing processes. Assist in identifying Critical Quality Attributes (CQAs) and process parameters that may influence product quality. Conduct literature reviews and benchmarking studies on Quality by Design applications within manufacturing industries. Support risk assessment activities related to process variability and quality performance. Data Analytics & Smart Manufacturing Collect, organize, and analyse manufacturing and quality datasets under supervision. Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities. Develop simple dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Excel or Power BI. Support the identification of digital opportunities to enhance process monitoring and decision-making. Artificial Intelligence Exploration Research emerging AI applications relevant to manufacturing and quality management. Explore potential use cases for predictive analytics and AI within flavour operations. Support proof-of-concept studies to assess the feasibility and business value of selected digital solutions. Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with Operations, Quality, R&D, and Digital teams throughout the internship. Present project updates and findings to project stakeholders. Prepare a final report summarizing key learnings, insights, and recommendations. At the end of the internship, the successful candidate is expected to deliver: Process maps for the selected manufacturing processes. A literature review and benchmarking report on QbD and Smart Manufacturing practices. Analysis of selected manufacturing and quality datasets, including identified trends and observations. Dashboards or visualizations to support data-driven decision-making. A summary of potential AI and predictive quality use cases applicable to flavour manufacturing. Recommendations for future opportunities to enhance process understanding, quality management, and Smart Manufacturing capabilities. A final presentation to site and regional stakeholders. Main Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Systems Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or relevant fields Candidates should be available for the internship attachment as part of their academic programme. Technical Skills Preferred, but not mandatory: Familiarity with data analysis using Microsoft Excel. Exposure to Power BI, Minitab, Python, or similar analytical tools is advantageous. Interest in Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, data analytics, or Artificial Intelligence applications. Experience with university projects involving process improvement or data analysis is a plus.
