About this internship
The Opportunity
KGI Securities is building a next-generation retail futures trading platform for Asian markets, and we are growing the team that keeps our community informed and engaged. As a Social Media Intern, you will be part of a lean, high-ownership marketing team responsible for how KGI shows up online, from the content we post to the conversations we start.
You will work directly with the marketing lead, get real exposure to building a brand presence from zero, and develop skills across content creation, community management, and social strategy. If you are chronically online in the best way, have a pulse on financial content trends, and want to grow fast in fintech, this is the role.
Responsibilities
Content Creation & Scheduling

• Develop platform-tailored content that educates, engages, and converts, from market explainers to product updates
• Coordinate with the designer and marketing lead to brief and align on creative assets
Community & Engagement
• Monitor comments, messages, and mentions across platforms and respond in a timely, on-brand manner
• Identify trending topics, relevant market moments, and content opportunities in real time
• Help grow and nurture KGI's online communities across social and messaging platforms
Analytics & Optimisation
• Track and report on key social metrics including reach, engagement, and follower growth
• Use performance data to inform content decisions and flag what is and is not working
• Maintain a content calendar and ensure consistent posting cadence across all channels
Requirements:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, or a related field
• Active on social media with a strong intuition for what performs on each platform
• A clean, confident writer in English, you can explain complex ideas simply and without jargon
• Organised and reliable, you treat deadlines and posting schedules seriously
• Familiar with social media scheduling and analytics tools like Meta Business Suite
• Genuine interest in financial markets, trading, or fintech is a strong advantage
• Able to commit at least 6 months (full time/part time) or 4 months (full time)
