About the Role
We’re looking for a creative and driven Social Media Intern to join our team. You’ll play a key role in creating engaging post and video content, growing our social media presence, and bringing our brand story to life across platforms.
As we expand our reach, we are looking for someone who is
bilingual (English & Mandarin)
and possesses a deep understanding of the
Chinese social media landscape
, specifically
Xiaohongshu (小红书)
. This role is ideal for someone who loves storytelling, understands cross-cultural trends, and is comfortable both behind and in front of the camera.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Social Media
Plan, create, and publish poster and short-form video content for
Instagram and Xiaohongshu (小红书)
.
Write engaging captions in both English and Mandarin
tailored to the specific audience of each platform.
Develop creative concepts aligned with brand voice and marketing goals.
Stay updated on local and international social media trends and adapt viral formats into content.
Assist in managing social media accounts (posting, captions, community engagement).
Videography & Editing
Film high-quality video content using smartphone or camera equipment.
Edit videos using tools such as
CapCut (or Jianying 剪映)
, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar.
Ensure content is optimized for each platform (format, timing, hooks, and localized subtitles).
On-Camera Presence
Confidently appear on camera when required (vlogs, tutorials, or trend challenges).
Collaborate with the team to execute creative ideas and campaigns.
Creative & Marketing Support
Brainstorm and contribute ideas for campaigns and content series.
Support product launches and brand storytelling initiatives.
Requirements
Language Proficiency:
Professional fluency in
English and Mandarin
(written and spoken) to create content and engage with a bilingual audience.
Platform Expertise:
Strong knowledge of
Xiaohongshu (小红书)
ecosystem, including its unique aesthetic, algorithm, and hashtag trends.
Social Media Native:
Highly familiar with Canvas, Instagram Reels, and current viral trends.
Technical Skills:
Competent in content creation using canvas and video editing (CapCut/Jianying, Premiere Pro, etc.).
On-Camera Confidence:
Comfortable filming and being the "face" of the brand in videos.
Creative Mindset:
Proactive, experimental, and has a keen eye for visual storytelling.
Team Player:
Excellent communication skills and a positive, collaborative attitude.
