NHG Health – Software Engineer Intern Job Preface Join our team at NHG Health Group Clinical Education as a Software Engineer Intern! You will gain hands-on experience working with our clinician educators and administrators to develop education-related AI (and non-AI) applications in healthcare education. You will have the opportunity to work on two 6-figure grants to push the boundaries of AI-eNabled Education! Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Python-based applications and automation tools. Use AI-assisted software engineering tools (e.g. Codex) to support solution planning, implementation, debugging, and documentation. Design and prototype software solutions to address operational and educational needs. Collaborate with clinician educators and administrators to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Ensure proper documentation and version control Requirements Technical Skills: ·       Experience with Python and Cloud Technologies (e.g. AWS) ·       Experience in developing Full-Stack web application or equivalent projects. ·       Understanding of REST APIs, Git/GitHub, and version control workflows. ·       Basic familiarity with AI coding assistants or LLM tools (e.g. Codex, OpenAI, Claude, GitHub Copilot) is an advantage. ·       Exposure to software design, debugging, and testing methodologies. ·       Familiarity with PostgreSQL/SQL, relational databases is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong curiosity and willingness to learn in a healthcare landscape Good communication skills and ability to work with clinical stakeholders Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Self-driven with ability to work independently and collaboratively Preferred background Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related fields. Interest in healthcare, education technology or innovation. Internship Details Full-time internship (6 – 9 months) Possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
