Software Tester (Intern)

Job description: The Software Tester intern will be a member of the Tech Application Devlivery – Quality Assurance team in BCS. He / She will report to the Test Manager or Test Team Lead in charge of the testing within the project. He/ She will be working with the business and technical units to devise the test objectives and perform quality testing. The incumbent is expected to perform the following: Prepare and maintain test specifications and test scripts (test scope, test scenarios, test conditions, test cases, test data and traceability matrix) as per the Functional Specifications and timeline. Review test specifications, test scripts and test results. Execute test cases, regression tests and confirmation tests according to test plan. Report test results and software defects/issues. Report status and progress to Test Lead / Manager on a regular basis. Execute follow-up test to ensure software defects/issues are resolved. Work closely with different teams to ensure issues are resolved and defects are fixed. Update the relevant documentations related to the project/change appropriately. Requirements • 3rd year/ Final year degree in computer science/Engineering or equivalent area of study • Good understanding and experience in a SDLC (software development lifecycle) project implementation process • Knowledge and hands-on experience on: o Manual Testing o Black Box Testing (Functional and Non-Functional) • Have passion to learn automation testing: o Automated Testing using Test Complete, Selenium o Defect Management and Tools
