Summary
Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sourcing Support Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the sourcing and procurement field. The successful candidate will support in various admin and operational tasks to ensure smooth function. He/she will furthermore support projects and initiatives that will help our team to further evolve the Sourcing function across ASKAN.
Job Description
Support the Sourcing ASKAN team on the Source-to-contract processes
Develop tools and excel templates to support our daily operations
Perform market research and supplier analysis for the region
Support supplier business reviews
Conduct data analysis and prepare presentations
Support the preparation of sourcing reports and its presentation
Help coordinate supplier meetings and site visits
Provide admin support for contract management and documentation
Handle general admin tasks as needed
Be involved during projects and initiative targeting our 2026 priorities and the ASKAN sourcing evolution journey (e.g. create catalogue items, enable eClasses for Supplier collaboration, coordinate financial stability check, determine CNW delegation potential, research on 3PL/4PL markets, Sourcing Card Maintenance, Support on RfIs, etc.)
Main Learning Objectives
Develop knowledge on Sourcing-to-Contract Processes
Develop skills in market research to conduct market and supplier analysis
Cross-functional alignment (Local, Regional and Global Sourcing)
Pre-requisite
Ability to commit from January – May/June. Part-time applicants will be considered only if you can commit to a min. of 3 workdays per week.
(International students not taking this as a credit-bearing internship need not apply as you will not be able to meet this requirement.)
Knowledge of MS Office (expertise in Excel is an added advantage)
AI affinity
General system affinity
SAP knowledge (added advantage)
Knowledge in PowerBI is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach
Good communication skills in English
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills with high level of reliability
Distinct empathy, team spirit and service-oriented mindset
Enthusiasm, curiosity and proactive attitude
Strong focus on solutions and results-oriented execution
