Sports Management Operations Intern Role Summary:
The Operations Intern oversees all event on-site tasks. He/She is the main person that contacts the vendors to ensure that the events are on time and within budget. He/She works closely with other departments and vendors to ensure operational requirements are fulfilled. He/She provides regular updates to internal stakeholders.
He/She is detailed and resourceful, and is mentally strong to work in a stressful environment. He/She possesses excellent multi-tasking and project management skills. He/She actively troubleshoots operational issues during events.
He/She is comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments, depending on the nature of the events.
Responsibilities:
Manages events and ensures that programme flow is followed
Oversees the deployment of instructors and part-timers for events
Liaises with vendors and internal staff to ensure that events run smoothly
Assists in meetings with clients to discuss event specifications
Manage participant enquiries regarding the events
Carry out site set-up pre-event and site tear-down post-event
Manage stock-taking of event equipment and inventory
Qualifications
Past experience in event management
Exceptional interpersonal skills, communication skills and an ethical mindset
Active listening, presentation and conflict resolution skills
Detail oriented, outgoing and sporty
Standard First Aid, CPR/AED - Bonus
NROC (of any sports field) - Bonus
