Strategic Planning Intern (Asian Investment Banking Division)
Internship Period: 11 January 2027 – 30 June 2027
Job Description
Support Asian Investment Banking Division (“AIBD”) Planning in the execution of financial planning, management reporting, and strategic initiatives across AIBD and GCIB APAC.
Assist in the preparation of management reports, presentations, and materials for senior management meetings, including monthly business reviews, strategy sessions, and ad hoc discussions.
Support data gathering, financial analysis, KPI tracking, and business performance monitoring across AIBD products and regions.
Participate in selected meetings and gain awareness of AIBD Planning's recurring responsibilities and meeting structure.
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking materials.
Identify opportunities to improve existing reporting, analysis, and administrative processes through automation or workflow enhancements.
Provide support for ad hoc projects, strategic initiatives, and management presentations as required.
Job Requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different teams, products, and locations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and derive meaningful insights.
Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality output.
Well-organized, proactive, and eager to learn new business concepts and develop analytical skills.
Interest in financial institutions, corporate banking, investment banking, and business strategy.
Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute beyond assigned responsibilities.
Demonstrated interest in business planning, financial management, and strategic decision-making within a corporate and investment banking environment.
Curiosity to understand the business drivers, performance metrics, and strategic priorities of GCIB APAC and AIBD.
