    About this internship

    As a Strategy and Planning Intern at The Great Room ("TGR")(hereinafter known as "Industrious"), you will work closely with the Strategy and Planning Manager to support business analysis, strategic initiatives, and commercial decision-making across our APAC portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, working with data, and uncovering insights that drive business performance. You will have the opportunity to work on projects ranging from financial analysis and dashboard development to business expansion opportunities across Asia. The Strategy and Planning Intern will gain exposure to senior leadership and collaborate closely with teams across Sales, Operations, Real Estate, Finance, and Corporate functions. What You’ll Do Business Performance Analysis Analyse operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the APAC portfolio. Investigate business performance drivers and provide recommendations to improve profitability, occupancy, pricing, and revenue generation. Support monthly business reviews and management reporting processes. Help answer key business questions such as: Which locations are outperforming expectations and why? Where are the biggest opportunities to improve margins? Which products, office types, or customer segments generate the strongest returns? Strategic Projects & Commercial Analysis Support strategic initiatives aimed at improving margins, increasing revenue, and enhancing operational efficiency. Build and maintain databases of historical deal metrics, pricing information, and performance benchmarks. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support business planning. Support feasibility studies, business cases, and presentations for new locations, including expansion opportunities in new markets. Data & Dashboard Management Build and maintain management dashboards to provide visibility into monthly and year-to-date performance. Consolidate data from multiple sources and ensure consistency across reports. Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and improve data quality. Systems Integration Assist with mapping and reconciling historical reports and metrics to new reporting frameworks. Analyse differences in accounting classifications, sales funnel definitions, pricing methodologies, and operational metrics to enable apples-to-apples comparisons. Help create reporting standards and documentation to support system integration efforts. Who You Are Requirements: Pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets. Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or other analytical tools is a plus. Availability for an internship (part-time or full time) for min. 3-months commitment. What We Look For Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
