    Role Overview As an intern for the Assistant Chief Executive’s Office, you have the opportunity to be involved in the HQ level for co-developing essential foundations for a volunteer ecosystem that spans across the National University Health System (NUHS). This is a role that provides exposure in co-developing and translating strategic plans into implementation, supporting pilots to cultivate volunteerism within different settings, and working with multi-disciplinary stakeholders from NUHS entities (tertiary hospitals, outpatient clinics, polyclinics, community healthcare) and external partners. You will have a unique opportunity to gain exposure to various segments of project management: from strategic discussions to stakeholder management; from pilot conceptualisation to evaluation; from event planning to implementation. Given the placement of this role in NUHS HQ Office, you will also get the chance to develop your own learning opportunities together with your supervisor. Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities Through this internship, you will gain exposure to: Ecosystem Building Play a part in building essential ecosystems foundations and networks, to support the development and implementation of the NUHS Volunteer Collective. Managing pilot projects Manage and support the evaluation of pilot projects that aim to embed volunteer roles within existing healthcare services, by working with different teams in hospital and community settings. Healthcare volunteerism in different settings Gain first-hand exposure and learning opportunities with the various volunteer aspects across NUHS and learn how to consider different points of views to further strengthen the Volunteer Collective. You may also be assigned additional tasks and responsibilities as needed, to grow your exposure in NUHS’ ecosystem. Who We’re Looking For We are looking for individuals who are: Curious and open to learning in a healthcare environment. Interest in careers within Singapore’s public sector will be an added benefit. Interested in contributing to volunteer development (added benefit for past experience as a volunteer or held volunteer leadership roles; non-healthcare experience is accepted). Interested in contributing to improving patient experience, patient-reported measures, patient and data journey mapping. Able to empathise and interact with internal and external stakeholders. Responsible, have good work ethic, and able to respond to timelines. Open to learning how to work with different levels of staff. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in volunteer management, development, leadership roles (does not need to be within healthcare sector). Experience working in a public sector agency/organisation. Good writing skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially being able to generate basic charts and analyse data with Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Power Automate is an advantage. Important Notes: This internship is open to students currently enrolled in local universities in Singapore. Applicants must be undertaking this internship as part of their academic requirements or under a non-credit bearing arrangement supported by their institution. This internship period is a minimum of 6 months to 1 year. Working location: Kent Ridge
