The intern will support the Unified Communications / Video Conferencing team in the installation, setup, testing, maintenance and day-to-day support of Audio Visual (AV) and Video Conferencing (VC) systems across Singtel offices.
The role provides hands-on exposure to enterprise collaboration technologies, including
Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, Cisco Video Conferencing systems and Audio Visual equipment
.
Assist with the preparation, imaging, configuration and basic setup of laptops and other end-user computing devices as required.
How You will Make An Impact:
To make periodic health checks on the Video Conference system to ensure the high availability of the system
Perform basic troubleshooting of displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, touch panels and related peripherals.
Assist with the setup and testing of Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Cisco Webex meetings.
Provide on-site technical support for selected meetings and events.
Skills for Success:
Education and Qualifications
Currently pursuing an ITE Nitec or Higher Nitec qualification in Information Technology, Electronics, Infocomm Technology, Cyber & Network Security, IT Systems & Networks, or another relevant technical discipline.
Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems and networking concepts.
Interest in Audio Visual, Video Conferencing, Unified Communications and collaboration technologies.
Work Experience
No prior working experience required.
Suitable for students seeking practical industry experience as part of their ITE internship programme.
Technical / Professional Skills
Basic understanding of computer hardware and Windows operating systems.
Basic understanding of networking concepts such as IP addresses and network connectivity.
Ability and willingness to perform basic technical troubleshooting.
Familiarity with common collaboration applications such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Cisco Webex.
Willingness to learn Video Conferencing and Audio Visual technologies.
Non-Technical / Soft Skills
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Customer-service-oriented attitude.
Willingness to learn and take guidance from senior team members.
Responsible and punctual, particularly when supporting scheduled meetings.
Able to work effectively as part of a technical support team.
Good attention to detail when performing system checks and maintaining asset records.
Able to remain calm and systematic when troubleshooting time-sensitive meeting issues.
