As a Tax Intern, you will work closely with experienced finance professionals and gain practical exposure to financial reporting, accounting operations, tax, audit support, and business partnering activities.
This internship is designed for students who are eager to learn, take initiative, and develop skills that will prepare them for a successful career in accounting, audit, tax, or finance.
What you will do
GST and Corporate Income Tax (CIT) Data Collation
Collate financial data required for Singapore GST reporting (e.g. F5 return workings, input/output tax schedules).
Assist in gathering and organizing information for Corporate Income Tax computations, tax provisions, including tax-adjusted profit schedules.
Support reconciliation of GST and CIT data to the general ledger and management accounts.
Prepare and maintain supporting documents for IRAS filings, audits, and reviews.
Assist in tracking tax filing deadlines and maintaining compliance documentation.
Monthly Withholding Tax (WHT) Preparation
Assist in the preparation of monthly Singapore withholding tax calculations for payments to non-residents (e.g. services, royalties, technical fees).
Review invoices, contracts, and payment details to assess withholding tax applicability and rates under Singapore tax rules and tax treaties.
Support preparation of withholding tax schedules and payment summaries.
Liaise with Accounts Payable and internal stakeholders to obtain accurate payment information.
Assist in ensuring timely submission and payment to IRAS.
GST ACAP renewal review
Assist with the gathering and organisation of information required for the review.
Sampling of data to ensure adherence to GST regulations.
Others
Assist the team on ad-hoc projects.
Draft tax technical papers and similar communications.
Work on process improvement and finance transformation initiatives.
Gain exposure to AI transformation, ERP systems and digital finance tools.
Collaborate with stakeholders across different business functions.
What We're Looking For
Undergraduate pursuing a degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Positive attitude with strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently and part of a team
