Trading Operations Intern

The role You will support the day-to-day operations of a live quantitative trading desk, with a focus on account onboarding, routine checks and financial record-keeping. This is a hands-on role in which you will take ownership of defined responsibilities and learn to identify, investigate and escalate exceptions appropriately. What you will do Account onboarding: support account-opening workflows; prepare and maintain documentation, account records and checklists Account administration: maintain account and counterparty records; coordinate follow-ups with internal and external counterparties Balance and inventory reconciliation: compare balances and inventory across exchanges and chains with our internal ledger; investigate differences and escalate exceptions promptly Reporting: prepare inputs for regular management reporting on desk operations Process improvement: support improvements to recurring processes, including workflow automation where relevant What you will learn How account onboarding, reconciliations and financial record-keeping support a live trading desk How to investigate balance and PnL exceptions by combining operational context with data How a quantitative trading desk operates: market structure, venue relationships, inventory, funding, fees and trading data Who we are looking for Able to commit at least 3 days per week for a minimum of 6 months, with a consistent weekly schedule. Fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus An undergraduate in their penultimate or final year, a master's student or a recent graduate in finance, business, economics, accounting, law, computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related field Highly organised, patient and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and a reliable approach to process execution and documentation Numerate and analytical: you notice when figures do not reconcile and can trace the cause, rather than simply flagging the discrepancy Genuine interest in crypto and financial markets Nice to have Familiarity with market structure, key participants and regulatory frameworks across jurisdictions in traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralised finance (DeFi) is an asset Internship experience at a trading firm, exchange, fintech, fund or other financial-services organisation Personal trading or on-chain experience, or side projects using real data Exposure to AI tools, workflow automation, data dashboards, SQL/Python or on-chain data platforms is an asset
