Purpose of the Job
The position supports and reports to the Head of Treasury. The Treasury team is responsible for all treasury functions including but not limited to balance sheet management, arranging of financing, cash and cash flow management, investments, financial risk management, corporate governance and market strategy and analysis.
Only candidates who are able to commit at least 5 months internship (combination of part-time and full-time) would be suitable. Outstanding performance during the internship will be evaluated for potential transition into a permanent role.
The following areas are potentially what an intern will be involved in. Actual scope may vary depending on the time commitment and learning aptitude of the successful intern candidate.
Equity research and financial risks
Conducting in-depth research and financial analysis of markets, industries, and companies
Learn to build financial models on stocks and other investment assets
Support analysis related to managing foreign exchange and interest rate exposures
Cash flow and debt management
Assist with daily cash positioning, cash flow tracking and short-term forecasting
Support liquidity management across multiple entities, currencies, and bank accounts
Monitor current outstanding & future debt positions
Timely repayments of loan interest and principal
Ensure that loan covenants are met
Treasury operations
Update and administer treasury policies
Liaise with banks for day-to-day banking matters, KYC and treasury payments
Assist in corporate and other loan documentation, and account administration
Help prepare treasury reports and dashboards
Artificial Intelligence
Explore using artificial intelligence, automation, or data analytics tools to improve cash forecasting, liquidity reporting, and treasury decision-making
Contribute to ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives within the treasury function.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Learning aptitude, detail-oriented and organized
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
