We are looking for intern(s) to join our Cloud Platform Engineering team to support the development of backend microservices and APIs, contributing to scalable platform features through Java-based application development and system integration. The Selected Intern(s) Will Assist In Following Develop and maintain backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot, following design and coding standards Design and implement RESTful APIs to support integration with internal systems and downstream applications Write and execute unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and performance of backend services Work with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) for data modelling, querying, and optimization Implement business logic and automation workflows within backend services Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. frontend engineers, DevOps) to support end-to-end feature delivery Contribute to code reviews and CI/CD pipeline improvements to enhance development efficiency and code quality About You Undergraduate currently in Year 2 or Year 3, pursuing a degree in Business Artificial Intelligence Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Information Engineering & Media, or a related discipline Proficiency in Java programming language Basic understanding of Spring Boot and microservices architecture Familiarity with RESTful API design principles Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL or similar) Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail Willingness to learn and work in a team-based development environment Independent, fast-learner, and self-driven Good team player with strong analytical and communication skills Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Want a glimpse into life at Synapxe?
