Uni Internship Jan to July 2027 - Generative AI exploration and development for healthcare use cases

As an intern you will join the Data Science & AI team to explore and develop Generative AI solutions for healthcare use cases. This internship provides the opportunity to work on innovative AI projects aimed at transforming patient health outcomes and improving user productivity through the application of Large Language Models (LLMs) and emerging AI technologies. The Selected Intern(s) Will Assist In Following Explore and apply advanced Generative AI techniques, including agentic AI frameworks (e.g. Azure AI SDK, Strands, LangChain, LangGraph), retrieval-based methods, and prompt engineering for healthcare use cases Improve the quality, reliability, and user experience of Large Language Model (LLM) outputs for healthcare chatbot applications Experiment with evaluation frameworks for LLM responses (e.g. DeepEval, Ragas) across different healthcare use cases Analyse evaluation results to identify areas for improvement and enhance the safety, robustness, and effectiveness of AI-driven solutions About You Undergraduate currently in Year 2 or Year 3, pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Business Artificial Intelligence Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline Strong proficiency in Python programming, with solid coding fundamentals Familiarity with development tools (e.g. VS Code, Jupyter Notebook) and version control systems (e.g. Git) Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), including usage via APIs or open-source models Exposure to AI application development on cloud platforms (e.g. Azure), including integration with API-based services Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow or PyTorch) is preferred Independent, fast-learner, and self-driven Good team player with strong analytical and communication skills Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech Want a glimpse into life at Synapxe?
