This Winter Internship Programme is designed for motivated undergraduates looking to gain hands-on exposure to corporate finance and investment banking. Throughout the internship with the Corporate and Leveraged Finance (CLF) department, you will work closely with our team on live projects, build practical skills, and gain valuable insights into the financial industry.
The internship will run for 8 weeks, commencing in November. Please ensure you are available to commit to the full duration of the programme before submitting your application.
Role Summary
Assist in the origination and execution of CLF transactions within APAC.
Key Responsibilities
Assist senior team members in the origination of new business in CLF, which includes Corporate Origination, Leveraged and TMT Finance, Acquisition Finance and Rating & Capital Structure Advisory, and Funds Financing.
Support deal execution throughout the Asia-Pacific region as assigned by seniors.
Perform financial and credit analysis, research and financial modelling in the execution of mandates.
Prepare marketing, proposals or presentations to prospective clients.
Draft credit applications and annual reviews incl. rating, Profitability Indicator (PI) analysis, Know Your Customer (KYC) etc. as required.
Provide general assistance to the team in all commercial, execution, marketing and reporting/ budgeting functions.
Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities
Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements. Complete any mandatory training in line with legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements.
Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role.
Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.
Refrain from taking any steps which could lead to the removal of certification of fitness and properness to perform the role.
Undertake all necessary steps to satisfy the annual certification process.
Comply with all applicable conduct rules as prescribed by the relevant regulator.
Role Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or relevant discipline
Track record of outstanding academic performance and extra-curricular activities
Proficient in MS Office
Willingness to learn, and ability to multi-task
Strong interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
